Driving down to San Francisco from Seattle, I found
myself wondering what the highways are all about.
People and goods moving here to there and back
again, often redundantly. It seems to be about bus-
iness. The more people are on the move, the more
they spend. That's been true of me on this trip. Gas,
food, beer--money goes quickly. It's how we breathe.
