we need to rent our place so we can go to philadelphia for four months where sarah has a big project that i'll be helping build. to prep it for showing, she got the bright idea to clean the windows, which have inexorably gathered grey pixelated grime, airborne filth stenciled through screen grid. found a ladder in basement, lugged it outside & wiped w/ bucket & rag, 50/50 water/vinegar solution, followed by spray bottle & crumpled newspaper, tight circles, no streaks, i could see clearly now. it was like getting an eyeglass prescription after being used to a blurry world. what else am i not seeing? |
