First photo of the journey,
Dcp63846.jpg, Sarah waiting
in Sea-Tac airport for flight 6034,
our pilgrimage to amsterdam and prague,
toenails proudly painted a cosmic orange,
barefoot ready to walk the stars. if i had a
watch
i'd set it to 4:20 but as herman hesse tells me
in my father's Siddhartha that i've brought
along,
"Have you also learned that secret from the
river;
that there is no such thing as time?" (and just
now
writing this I'm reminded of burning man '99,
when if
anyone asked what time is it? i'd say time?
there is
no time! and laugh and run away.) he goes
on to say in this
simple book that life is a river existing
beginning to end all at once,
and though the water appears to move the river
itself does not change.
i melt into my seat and sense its length from
source to mouth...
