earlier in the day, it really rained, and as luck would have it i had to
be outside at that moment, gutters overflowing with a rushing like a river.
wanna see my typewriter? what does
that have to do with anything? well, i took a picture of it today, and that's
pretty much the whole ballgame--seeing what's there as opposed to manifesting
a preconception. |
these are the peaches i put in the wine. 3 lbs of peaches, about 6 liters
of carlo rossi rhine. simmer at superlow heat until soft and sweet, which
in this case meant about 8 hrs cz the little fuzzies are not in season (on
this wedge of planet, at least). did you know that fahrenheit is the temperature
scale for alcohol? it freezes at 0 and boils at 100, so stick a finger in
and if it feels hotter than your body, lower the temperature. i applied this
technique to the making of absinthe, where i warmed the vodka before mixing
in wormwood (a.k.a. mugwort) and letting it steep 72 hours in oven and sauna.
it worked unbelievably well and put a serene glow on our
bonewarmng party.
