working on a sunday with steven --if not to make ends meet, then
at least to get them within sight of each other. the game today was buying
supplies and snapping lines across a wonky ceiling with the idea of levelling
it out before hanging
sheetrockTM. the TV at bar for lunch
shows "Images of War"--slick views of sexy jets on carrier decks at sunset
to make the high-tech murder aesthetic and antiseptic while the real costs
of invasion are swept under the carpet. when backed against a wall i can
almost ignore it and accept the sugary mainstream propaganda that covers
murder like any other sport. almost. but i still have my doubts.
