got an email from
honza saying
he likes sarah's
wastewater
treatment plant painting, which got
me to thinking how my home looks from above.
looks a bit like a leafy suburb, no? seattle ain't
exactly an urban environment. but that's OK,
i grew up in such a place, 26 miles east of NYC.
it's funny the patterns we fall into, rats
in a maze.
it's incredible we can access views like this.
the
montgolfiers
were probably the first
humans to see the world as such, except for
visionaries and other out of body experiencers,
in dreams or through the eyes of animals.
this is how it looks through a bombscope.
the hand in leather glove touches a button,
suddenly the plane is lighter and soon there's
nothing to see below because of the smoke. |
