Very rainy here in Seattle--the sound is the first thing we noticed
waking up. Sarah and I
walked to Fremont Baptist local polling place (funny confluence of church
and state).
Long line even at 7:15 am--out foyer, down hall, into carpeted room where
they say mass.
People quiet but I was smiling, a little giddy and touched by the process.
The best part is
all these neighbors coming together. Plus the muffins
cut in half and chocolate chip cookies. Did you vote?
The system is corrupt, your vote might get lost,
but it's still worth a shot. Don't get your hopes up,
but don't let them die, either. Think I'll go back
down with a bag of baby carrots and hang out. |
