If Seattle is often a city without shadow
it's only because it's usually overcast from
October
through June, but in this case the sun just
happened to be in the right place as the Bremerton
ferry approached Pier 52 downtown. Take
a good look at these buildings--standing on a
former
tide flat that was filled in when Seattle was
regraded in the early
1900's, it's questionable
whether or not they'll survive the next big earthquake
with its predicted ground liquefaction.
