Jakub Cermak is a
poet/songwriter/singer/filmmaker and university
student of contemporary art who turned 20 earth years on June 7.
He's also the son of my housemate Mirek so it only seemed natural
for him to celebrate his birthday with a rockfest in our backyard. We
were told to expect 10 or 12 people but closer to 40 showed. That
was OK--there was plenty of room for
tents out back. The
weather
couldn't have been better; it really felt like the first day of summer.
