Should you ever trust a photograph?

Linda Peschong poses this question
in a very subtle way in The Real Thing,
an exhibit of "nature" photographs that
look like snapshots but are actually carefully
assembled montages of genuine landscapes
merged with museum dioramas
depicting various wildlife.

The opening tonight at the Alibi Room
felt like a family reunion. Who was there?
Constance, Jack, Blair, Gwen, Matt, Jesse,
Jesse, Marefumi, Dan, Jeff, Rob, Min, Adria
and a bunch of new faces and people who
might not even have websites. Wow. 

The show will be on view through June 2.
