Despite the seemingly accelerating
countdown to New
Year's,
I felt compelled to take
Greg
up on his invitation to contribute art
to the latest incarnation (v.3) of his robotic art dispenser. I'd been
meaning to transcribe my notes from the talk I gave at the Henry
on March 29. I'd hoped to enlarge them into an essay,
but instead
went with the expedient of merely copying out the outline, which I
embellished with images from the accompanying slideshow. The
lecture was much more detailed, eloquent and humorous than these
notes suggest, but what the hell. The resulting
