It changes a person to live across the street
from an 850-year-old building. I took this
picture on my way to the pub where I picked up
a pitcher of draft beer to go. It's a little
thing, but there's something trusting and nice
about being able to carry a frothy jug of beer
in the streets. It feels like a combination of
freedom and privacy--which are probably the
same thing and very much out of fashion in the
police state that the U.S. has become.
