Tamra's housewarming started early (6 pm)
to accommodate people with young children.
I think the lesson learned was kids can have
their own parties. Most of the young 'uns were
just fine and enjoyed dancing to the music and
making shadows in the psychedelic spotlight,
but there was one who was out of control
and started to get on everyone's nerves--
except of course the parents'.
Rich and
I dj'd,
he off his laptop, I spun 45s. We sat beside
each other all night long, alternating song
for song. It was fun. We got to talk. We
agreed unruly kids weren't to blame--that
honor goes to overly permissive parents. |
