Went down to Highline CC to help Sarah hang her Headwaters of Industry series in the library. The content of her paintings and the invisible tree I didn't see inspired this recipe: |
First remove the forest.
Chop it down, uproot the stumps. Mill the trunks--boards, beams, & studs. Erect a building in the clearing. Take what's left and grind to dust. Pulp. Bleach and flatten to receive the marks. Bind the pages, shelved books untouched. Lurking in the library: shadows of the world we lost. |
