I'm running out of things to say.
Remaining silent makes me a better listener.
One of the best things I ever heard was my first day
on the job living off-grid in the remotest part of
Maui:
"Cities are zoos where people are the animals."
Tim was done with "the outside world" and I couldn't
blame him.
On the other hand it gives me hope to see people
smooshed up against one another getting along.
Sarah and I don't get away
enough. Each time is a revelation--the quiet and
lack of visual clutter really
clarifies body and mind. It's especially nice to
escape the ever-extending tentacles of useless
information.
Connectivity isn't missed when harried sparks of
trivia are replaced by slow burn of being where one
belongs.
