Today would have been my mom's 80th birthday and I thought of her at this sweet secret beach with brackish lagoon fed by intermittent ocean inlet and freshwater falls of jungle gulch, clear green and blue rocky-bottomed pool wide and deep enough for diving from smooth-stoned banks. I'm grateful she imparted a lifelong love of swimming. Wish she could've seen this day. |
