| it might not look like it, but these humble youngsters are putting their lives on the line. in a time when counter- protesters routinely drive cars through crowds, the seattle bike brigade creates a buffer against intentional attacks and accidents alike. today's rally and march offered an interpretive tour of the central district--past, present, and future. three weeks since this movement began, momentum is still building. mass media downplay the numbers, highlight the negative, and amplify rumors and lies, but there's no mistaking the power and determination of a mobilizing populace. |
