I watch people watching people from
stoops
or framed by windows. Miso
and I are both
getting in on the act, and I've taken to keeping
a 200mm zoom camera on the desk next to me.
I'm mainly interested in the expressions of
bike
style parading by, but today offered a
special treat with roofers working catty-corner
from me. I admired their focus and efficiency as
they doggedly overcame gravity and sweltering
heat. What's funny about photographing from
a distance is little details pass unnoticed in
the
instant, emerge only upon closer inspection,
such as this cyclist's innovative approach to
toting,
or the handgun sloppily tucked into
the middle guy's sagging waistband.
