what a
pretty sunset! too bad it was the middle of the
afternoon. in seattle, we've become resigned to
smoke season, when
climate change fueled forest fires shroud the
pacific northwest in an ash grey pall. but this
isn't seattle, it's philadelphia,
thousands of miles downwind of multitudinous
conflagrations, the effects of which are being
felt as far northeast as boston.
there's no escape, not even space. the irony of
these vanity sub-orbital jaunts is
the plutocrats mouth platitudes about doing
it for the sake of humanity, when their joyrides
contribute to nothing save their own egos and just
make matters worse.
