Seattle is a nice enough place to come home to.
&
There's a unique shade of blue I dreamed of
long before I ever thought of moving here.
In in between seasons I see it all the time,
it brackets transitions from day to night,
night to day, and softens the vibe. I felt
fuzzy and crusty this morning after a
sailors' bout of drinking, but Puget
Sound was tranquil, light so kind,
treating me as if I were fragile.
&
Maybe I am, in ways I deny.
