Last week's
outdoor market
was postponed due to foul
forecast that turned out
better than expected,
so of course today's
makeup date had
to be worse. My
DJ set from
11-3
went exactly
as
predicted. On
the surface it
was bleak--cold
rain in a sparse
parking lot--but
I had sunshine in
my heart and at
least a few songs to
elevate the mood. I
started with the blues
and peaked with Sunny
Afternoon. The records got
wet and it was a losing battle
wiping the
mixer dry, but at least
my leaky canopy didn't blow
over (it
came close a couple of times). I danced to
keep warm, music uplifting my state of mind.
