these constructs are purely functional--braces for a planter box. simple scrap 2x4 waterproofed with Red Gard and screwed at the corners. but color, proportion, and shadow gave them an aesthetic presence i hadn't expected. then it struck me i now have time, space, and materials to pursue lines of thought in three dimensions. there is a way, but no map.
