spent
the last month in a figurative and literal fog. my
2nd bout of covid put me in psychic limbo where i
felt vague and ready to dissolve while unrelenting
dismal weather matched my mood. our place is
hemmed in by trees, no direct sunlight in winter,
but today the skies opened up, revealing we had
crossed the line as sunbeams shone into the front
room for the first time in months and patchouli
and sunny
were quick to soak it up. i went barefoot at the
beach but stopped short of a swim because the tide
was out, content to just bask in the rays and watch the clouds.
