look at this sample of written armenian
that came with a credit card renewal. it's only
some
legalese but it's so pretty, reminding me
of when g.b. shaw first saw the gaudy neon ads
of times square (when that was still a novelty)
and said, "it must be beautiful if you can't
read." well, perhaps that's apocryphal or me
just misremembering because i can't find the
quote online, but you get the idea. been
thinking about armenia since tommy, a gables neighbor, stumbled
upon our screening of the exterminating angel at
QFC a few weeks ago. he's
part amernian and followed up with an invite to
a film at the
beacon he programmed, which i attended
tonight. before this, my knowledge of armenia
was limited to kurt vonnegut's bluebeard, so it felt good
to expand my horizons with Barev, yes em, however slightly. Շնորհակալություն!
