                         i made, Will noticed this week's
         tides would be among the year's lowest so
he called up a 4Shadows overnight field trip to
explore the rarely exposed edge of oyster flat.
it's an alluvial fan with a precipitous dropoff,
isolines packed so tight they resemble the inky
depths themselves; throw a stone and it comes
to rest 40 fathoms down. jumping in feels like
stepping off a cliff, legs dangle like lures. we
watched 16.5 vertical feet of water flood in
in just 7 hours--a good chance to
test this timelapse camera, with
tomorrow's swing even bigger...
