| dinosaurs still roamed
the earth when i bought a single spider plant at home depot. it was a whim, as if buying a house- plant could ever be anything else. without trying very hard, i've propagated it into a dozen hanging pots. once or twice a week, i take them outside and hook them on the pull-up bar, give them a deep drink with garden hose set to mist, shower them with compliments as i primp and prune them. they're like family--often taken for granted but our love keeps growing. |
