churches
are not often haunted--they're no place for the departed. it's too painful
watching the pious faces of the congregation smiling self-righteously in
anticipation of a reward the dead know does not
come. |

if
you want to find ghosts, try the movies, where even rows rise like gravestones
and as in a cemetery it might look empty but there's never an empty seat--the
spirits have come to watch phantoms dance on the
screen. |

Pay
admission, enjoy the show, when the credits roll you know what they know:
when you're done, you're done, having lived a life as all lives are
lived--vicariously. |
