It's been three
years and a day since I ripped off the time-tested layout of the New York
Times--simple masthead, date in upper right corner, etc--and Picture of the
Day was born. I started off strong, with something like 30 consecutive
installments. Then a friend said he
liked it but I shouldn't be spending all my time on it. Since then I've added
about 450 entries, about 3 per week. Whether you're a new visitor or longtime
pal, please vote for your favorite today. Well, it's not really a vote so
much as a reminiscence.
