i guess i've been feeling a bit
down and lonely. i left a lot of good people in seattle.
so it was especially nice to reconnect with honza, who i first met when he
played bass with uz jsme
doma. his kitchen clock made a featured appearance in these pages
once. i called him at work and we arranged
to meet at metro station flora, where he showed up carrying a board adorned
with several clocks of his design. "i quit my job today," he said. "i'm going
to make clocks all the
time." back at his spacious apartment, he revealed this charming scene
in a desk drawer: a little tram stop with old and young lovers, complete
with electric light. it reminded me of the scale model
mirek
built when he wanted to rearrange the furniture in his own apartment. |
