The
Lights have been getting a lot of attention these days.
They get much airtime on KEXP,
they're playing mad shows to support their new EP
Wood
and Wire, and tonight they were guest bartenders at
Hattie's Hat.
I guess I picked the wrong week to do a detox diet--bartending friends and
VIP passes (i.e., drink tickets, drink tickets, drink tickets) to The Polyphonic
Spree tomorrow at the Showbox. Well, I stuck to my guns, drank 3 non-alcoholic
beers (all the calories with none of the benefits!) and contented myself
with nice conversations with Adria, Linda, Lori, Dan, Matt, Gwen, Jesse,
John B, and Craig M.
I asked the regular bartender how much the hot nuts cost. She said they were
free and put them in a glass for me. Free nuts? What a country! |
