Work
was slow so I got off early.
Caught Adria & Craig on their way
to
the
Globe for vegan lunch (yum!)
then headed to Howell
Beach where
we floated naked in the sun. I've been
lucky with the water this summer--lots
of swimming in ocean, lakes, pools, and
rivers. If there's anything I want to thank
my parents for, it's teaching me to swim
early on and then cultivating a love of it
through hydrocentric family trips. When
swimming I feel most present; there's no
where else to be, nothing more needed.
Makes me want to dump all my stuff and
move to where the water's always warm.
Maybe then I'd give up alcohol. After all, a
drink's just a shortcut to that ocean feeling. |
