The leaves are falling, children extort candy, adults
get drunk and wear masks-- it must be Christmas! Time again for the annual rite of cookie baking and frosting. Because we won't be back in December, Christmas came early and got mixed up with Halloween, which is OK because all Christian holidays have something to do with death (don't forget why Jesus' parents were refugees: Herod was killing babies).
