technology lends us such funny lives.
in this same basement there was a club quality
DJ set-up and couchy home theater with digital
projector showing 1960s gogo movies as 70s funk
records played.  without electricity where would we be?
almost superstitiously, i kept an eye on the window and decided
i'd leave before dark. it was a 30-minute walk. not many people out.
