After work, Azur and I went down to Gigantic
Big Rock here in Seattle.
We were surprised no one was climbing, but
maybe the schist was too
hot on this blazing sunny afternoon. The
temperature difference between
sun and shade is remarkable, kind of like on
the moon. I grew up with humid
summers on Long Island where there
was no escaping the heat. On the moon,
the difference between sun and shade is 500
degrees (Fahrenheit). Alcohol
freezes at zero degrees F and boils at 100.
That much is true. There are big
rocks in Seattle, but size is always relative.
Was this little dog looking for its
master? It's been a while since anyone has
heard from Alasdair.
