Jesse's
sister Stephanie
works
for the
Maui
Invasive
Species Committee (MISC),
so we had the good fortune and lucky timing to tag
along on one of their quarterly field trips to Lana'i.
About 25
of us were to camp all week at Hulopo'e Beach,
famous for its
Spinner
dolphins.
We
ferried
over
last
night, feasted and partied
with the early arrivals and friends of MISC, then
woke early this
a.m. to good news that the nai'a
were in
full effect. Water calm and clear,
for a few blissful hours we communed with and became
marine
mammals.
