| Right on cue, just as Will hit the climactic note on his electric bass, the sun exploded in cold silence. The walls were breached, the streets flooded. A tower rose from the rubble. The dead came in waves, liberated, the door to hell not just unlocked but blown off its hinges. It was sorta epic but that's not what happened at all. What really happened is a piece broke off inside, he tried to shake it out. But the point is it could have happened, and maybe it still will... |
