After
playing a focused but restrained 45-minute set, what does your average theoretical physicist/jazz saxophonist do to unwind backstage at Benaroya? Play some more, of course. He and Spooky performed the west coast premiere of The Hidden Code tonight as part of 9e2, which after only 7 evenings I'm already starting to take for granted, as if every night from now till forever will feature some new thoughtful confluence of art and science, but the sad fact is it's almost over. 'Twas gratifying and strange to go from dayjob damage control in flooded basement to virtual tour of the cosmos to post-show dinner confab with friendly scientists and artists whose curiosity and enthusiasm was contagious. |
