it snowed today. this is
noteworthy in seattle.
the flakes were big and clumsy. i watched
them.
snow is an excuse to slow down in this
town.
a neighbor and her 2 year old were in the
lobby.
"is this her first time seeing snow?" "oh
yeah!"
poor kid. so many disillusionments ahead.
warming up the diesel worktruck, this view
reminded me of the finale of my novel, BUZZ,
a seasonal fave of the oversensitive and
cynical.
the snow shrouded blades of grass but
didn't stick
to the road. i drove to work with the
windows down.
doesn't make a difference when the jobsite
is so cold.
