i call my toyota truck taco, short for tacoma, a xʷəlšucid word that means "mother of waters," variously spelled tacoma or tahoma, the latter tending generally to refer to the mountain, misnamed after an invader, the tallest thing in sight, its glaciers truly make it the source of much local lifeblood. i'm pretty sure it's reckless and greedy to indulge the joy of automobility, but here we are, sitting still and moving fast through the landscape of big ag monocrops side by side with family farms, on our way to rich- land ... |
