Introducing 7/8ths
Strings, a name I suspect is the
brainchild of the baritone sax player as a
way of drawing
attention to himself, but I could be
wrong. (The fact they were
missing half their lineup
reminded me of a
high school friend's
friend's band: Five Tents of Time. Yes,
tents, not tenths or tense.)
These youngsters
played with a depth that belied their age.
This was their first show, and this might
be the
first bootleg.
