I haven't been excited
about Seattle for years.
Part of it is I fell in
love with the Maui hermit
lifestyle,
the other is that
Seattle has become a reactionary simulacrum
of its former blue collar progressive
self. But I felt a surge of hope
today volunteering at Greg Lundgren's latest
endeavor--the Museum of Museums
(MoM). Meg Hartwig
and I hung
drywall while Dylan Neuwirth
toiled 14 hours straight to install his neon
sculpture All My Friends
at the Broadway entrance. It's gratifying to
reconnect
with friends old and
new. A lot of good conversations and I look
forward to new
possibilities here and at the 4Shadowsold haunt.
