on its surface, weaving can seem an obvious metaphor, but the more time you spend with it, the deeper it goes. everything is entangled--time, space, matter. somehow out of that mix consciousness emerges, eat and be eaten. sarah has been artist-in-residence in tukwila for the past year, painting murals with the youth and organizing events. today's welcome the water was a culmination of sorts, or maybe just another ____________ of the loom. |
