even a small
project can take a lot of time, especially when
you're trying to blend your addition with an
existing 100+ year old interior with all its
quirks, textures, and irregularities. this picture
is taken from the outside of closet extension
looking in through hole i drilled to hold the rod.
i wanted it solidly built-in, not cradled in a cheap
plastic rondelet. i had just the right drill
bit for the job--even if it did chip out a
little bit, that 2x6 is part of the framing and
will get buried under drywall. sawdust, the heavy
scent of aromatic cedar lining, and a passel of
podcasts makes for a tranquil, solitary saturday night.
