| maui is so fecund you can't leave a tomato to ripen on kitchen windowsill without having the seeds sprout from the inside (kinda like the chestbuster in Alien--don't click if you're squeamish). allison didn't know if it was still good to eat and neither did i, but this is the 21st century and we quickly ascertained it was fine and learned the term viviparous as it relates to plants and animals, which was kind of timely for the day after liliko'i's 1st birthday. |
