my usual sunday walk from heights of
capitol hill to lows of south lake union,
passing over i-5 at aloha. i don't make it
a point to shoot from the same spot, but
these two views pretty much line up. the
top is from january 26, when all we had to
worry about was that WW3 would be
triggered by the criminal assassination
of an iranian general--business as
usual under our 21st century caligula. below is
the view today, as pretty a day for
sailing as i've seen, yet there were zero
boats out enjoying it. i guess that's for
the best, but also eerie and sad. sailboats are this city's poetry,
quills criss-crossing a page.
