yesterday, i saw a
biplane. today, i was divebombed by birds.
these
swallows have had it in for me ever since i
nipped their
first nest in the bud. i know that sounds bad, but
after i led them
to rebuild elsewhere i've left them alone and
they've ignored me
for the most part. but now that their chicks are
about to fledge
they're so protective that i've had to start using
the back door
lest they chase me halfway around the house,
swooping within
inches of my face, screaming like Stukas.
that WW2 plane was
mounted with sirens intended to instill terror in
its victims; slow
down these avian imprecations and they're likewise
intimidating.
