found
an almost unused 5 gallon bucket of white paint
in a shed here. it had been sitting a long time
in the cold and had settled and separated, too
much and thick to mix with just a stick, so i
used a mash
stirrer on rotary drill, worked it up and
down, round and round, till you could mistake it
for a milk shake though you wouldn't want to
lick the spoon. so what to do with the dripping
mess on the tool? i grabbed a big piece of
cardboard that had served as dropcloth before
and bent it into a ring around the bucket, then
pulled the trigger and spun the excess off. call
it low rent jackson pollack, but the result of
this unexpected
byproduct looked good enough to tack on
the wall.
