spacer this creek runs just half the year. as soon as the flow resumes, salmon head upstream though it's so shallow in spots
they stick well out of the water, thrashing and splashing across the rocks. their struggle is palpable, a raw frenzy of
  life intent on            perpetuating itself. we cheer them on. nothing relieves anxious thought spirals like being
                                        reminded of the vast dance that is beyond human concern, the
                                           rhythms and tempos of an incomprehensible timescale.
