when i showed this picture to sarah she said, it looks like ai. well, that's because it pretty much is. in a sense, all photography is trick photography because it's an illusion that is often mistaken for a "true" representation of reality. but at least with film you get a depiction of a single instant, whereas today's phone cameras interpolate and recombinate a slew of captures to present an optimized hyperreal image. |
