it feels
good to locate one's home among
the
lumps and flats of walla
walla ferry wall map.
we suffered some FOMO being away from our
little corner
of the salish fjord--missed the
salmon run and two nights
of vivid aurora borealis (something i've yet
to see).
by the time we got back, the creek was all corpses and
scavengers (plus the odd battered
straggler),
but there were other consolations: rotting
vegetables, decaying leaves,
giant
spiders, and
a gentle
misty rain fine
enough to breathe.
